Ramkrishna Paramhans Mahavidyalay Osmanabad established in 1959 is striving hard to impart quality education especially for rural, semi-urban, socio-economically downtrodden community.
It is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (Maharashtra).
The college is run by Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha, Kolhapur which is established by a great visionary teacher Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe with the Motto “Education for Knowledge, Science and Culture.” The Sanstha is one of the leading education institutes in Maharashtra. It has been successfully running 406 education units including 23 Senior College, 66 Junior College, 03 B.Ed. Colleges, 01 Law College, 01 Engineering, 01 Pharmacy college in 13 districts of Maharashtra and Karnataka.
The college is in one of the aspiration districts which are identified by NITI Aayog as underdeveloped and having a poor socio-economic growth. It is taking unending efforts for the welfare of socially and economically weak background and down-trodden communities. Most of our students are from nearby rural area belonging to agricultural family.
The college is offering 03 UG programmes with 15 subjects, 10 PG programmes in Art, Science and Commerce streams. The University has been sanctioned 04 research centers in the subject of Hindi, Economics, History and Commerce for the Ph. D. programmes.
Beside these the college provide short term skill-based certificate programmes to enhance employability skill and business skill among the students.
The college is identified by the UGC as College with Potential for Excellence in Phase I and Phase II.
Ours is the only college in the jurisdiction of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad Maharashtra which has been sanctioned DBT Star College Scheme by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
We are proud to state that in the University examination six times our students stood first and grabbed gold medals.
The university has honored the college two times with “Ideal Examination Centre Award.”
The College is located in the heart of the city. It has its own 7 acres beautiful premises and welldeveloped campus with all required infrastructure and amenities.
