About/History of Department:

Ø  Commerce is one of the few Departments which are part of Ramkrishna Paramhansa Mahavidyalaya since its inception UG-June 1961 , PG- June 1996  and Research Center from 2021 - 22.

Ø  Department of  Commerce  focuses not only on the curricular aspects but also on the development of discipline specific skills in students to train them for a possible future career in Commerce and Management.

Ø  Department of Commerce run the short-term Certificate course in ‘Computerized Accounting for students.

Ø  Many of our students have passed the Civil Service examinations, now in government services and Private Sector Companies.

Ø  The department has continued to promote and upgrade the knowledge of students, researchers, and teachers.

Ø  The intake capacity of the department is 240 students for B.Com. I, and 240 students for B.Com. II & III year.
